Applications
CommandLIFT is a remotely operated, electric power door-lift system that increases worker safety and reduces worker compensation claims by removing unnecessary lifting and climbing, minimizing the risk to your staff’s health. Activated at the touch of a button, operators no longer have to climb up onto the door frame to lift the door. The smooth, controlled movement of the power door-lift system ensures careful operation, reducing door maintenance costs by minimizing wear on the door and its components. This innovative device ensures that the roll-up doors are closed securely and will stay closed even if the door latch is not engaged, securing cargo from loss, debris, and damage from the elements. CommandLIFT can be set up to pull the bottom panel up and into the header, providing the maximum opening clearance, and deploys in 10 seconds. This results in greater efficiency when loading, as staff can move cargo more easily when not maneuvering around a door.
The CommandLIFT power door-lift system is designed with safety in mind. It will automatically stop and reverse if an object is in the way allowing the obstacle to be safely removed. Potted circuit boards on the converter and receiver box, are enclosed in aluminum, so the system is resistant to shock, vibration, moisture ingress, and corrosive agents while being suitably isolated against accidental misuse. The power-door lift can be prevented from activating when in transit by the use of a slide cover on the transmitter. Luma Bar® LED lights have been integrated into the unit for increased user safety and featuring auto shut off for when the compartment is not in use.
Enhanced fleet efficiency, effective ease of use, reduced maintenance and downtime and increased cargo security make CommandLIFT a powerful addition to your fleet.

Improve Staff Safety and Efficiency
CommandLIFT® is a power door-lift system for WHITING® Canada roll-up doors, compatible with most door models we manufacture. A power roll-up door takes the strain off your staff, allowing the door to be quickly and easily lifted without any manual effort. This remote roll-up door system can be engaged at the touch of a button, meaning there is no climbing or risk of falls for your employees. The fast 10-second opening time means cargo can be loaded and unloaded more efficiently. CommandLIFT® ensures that roll-up doors are closed securely and will stay closed, even if the latch hasn’t been engaged, improving the security of your cargo. A power door-lift also helps reduce door damage, meaning lower maintenance costs and less downtime for repairs.
Expert Design for Safe Operation
The CommandLIFT® power door-lift system is equipped with safety features for secure operation. If the power door-lift encounters an obstacle while opening or closing the door, it automatically stops and reverses direction by 12 inches. It then stops operation, which allows the obstruction to be removed safely. The circuit boards within the converter and receiver box are potted to resist shock and vibration while excluding moisture and corrosive agents. Both boxes are enclosed in aluminium boxes to prevent accidental misuse or shock. A slide cover is incorporated onto the transmitter to ensure the power door-lift cannot be activated when not in use, for example, while the vehicle is moving. In addition, integral Luma Bar® LED lights can be activated from the CommandLIFT® transmitter, providing useful compartment lighting that will automatically shut off after a set period.

Frequently Asked Questions
All of the components required to install the CommandLIFT are included in the package. An Installation Manual and Owner’s Manual are included on a CD (print these before starting installation). The customer is required to supply two 10-gauge wires that will connect the negative and positive terminals of the 12V or 24V power supply to the CommandLIFT.
The typical CommandLIFT Door Operating System kit is approximately 65 pounds.
The nominal draw is 10 to 14 amps at initial door movement, and 7 amps throughout the cycle.
While in the closing sequence, the CommandLIFT will stop and reverse direction about 4 inches. While in the opening sequence, the CommandLIFT will stop. After either fault, the CommandLIFT will only operate in the opposite direction to which it was travelling.
The printed circuit boards are conformally coated. The electronics are enclosed in an IP68 waterproof enclosure, and all through-connections are IP68 Deutsch connectors.
WHITING recommends latching the door using the existing door latch before operating the vehicle, to prevent inadvertent activation while the vehicle is in motion. There are accessory inputs available to install a cab-mounted door-open alarm and a switch to close the door.
Minimum clearance between the top of the horizontal door track and the roof:
- WHITING DryFREIGHT™ — 3 5/8 inches
- WHITING TempGUARD™ — 4 5/8 inches
- WHITING ColdSAVER™ — 5 1/8 inches
Instructions are included in the Instruction Manual and Owner’s Manual.
An average roll-up door fitted with a CommandLIFT should open completely in about 10–12 seconds.
The key to good operation is door maintenance: be sure the door is correctly balanced, clean, and lubricated. Make sure the CommandLIFT aluminum track is clean and free of obstruction, and that the terminals in the receiver box are clean and securely connected. Regular (monthly) lubrication of the emergency key cylinder is recommended, and the plastic “sliders” on the motor unit should be inspected annually.
The CommandLIFT is guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, provided it is installed on a WHITING door.
An average CommandLIFT installation will usually take between 2 and 6 hours, depending on the complexity of the wiring and the location of the power supply.
