Accessories, hardware, and upgrades for roll-up doors
This Standard Lock with Inside Release not only keeps your roll-up door closed but has additional locking capabilities to provide increased security and protection against theft for valuable cargo. The inside release allows the door to be opened from within the compartment—a useful addition where staff may need access before opening the roll-up door, and increasing efficiency by removing the need to exit the compartment and open the door from the exterior. In addition, the standard lock helps protect your roll-up door from damage by keeping parts secure during transit, reducing maintenance and downtime.
The E-coated finish provides increased corrosion protection for improved durability in addition to a professional appearance. The essential part is also available in painted black or stainless steel finishes for a unified appearance with your door and other hardware. The standard lock can provide increased security when used with the #7515 Keeper for pad-locking capabilities. This part is compatible with most WHITING® Canada roll-up doors.

WHITING®'s Black Brush side seals offer the best level of protection against debris and water ingression, keeping your door panels and components in good condition for longer. They also prevent water and dirt from getting into the compartment, protecting cargo from damage and your staff from slips on a wet surface. Brush seals are longer lasting than vinyl seals, meaning lower maintenance costs and vehicle downtime.
The flexibility of the brush bristles conform to irregular surfaces (such as rivet heads) to reduce airflow into the compartment, which is critical for insulated models with temperature-sensitive cargo. They are also less abrasive against the door exterior, meaning that your roll-up door will continue to look pristine long after it has left our factory—perfect for doors with custom paint colours or graphics. Comes as standard with WHITING®’s HingedTRUSS II and C4 door models.
WHITING®'s Clear Brush Side Seals are designed to be used with white roll-up door models for a complimentary, attractive appearance. Sealing the compartment area against debris and water ingression, brush side seals decrease the risk of your cargo being damaged, as well as reduce the risk of staff slipping on a wet surface. Door panels and trucking door components are also protected from water and debris entry from the sides, which keeps parts in good condition and reduces maintenance costs and downtime for repairs. The flexible bristles will conform to uneven surfaces such as rivet heads and decrease the airflow from the sides into the compartment—perfect for insulated models where a constant temperature is required.
Compared to vinyl side seals, brush seals have an increased lifespan making them a cost-efficient option. They also abrade the roll-up door surface less than a vinyl seal, which is ideal for keeping.
Double-end hinges provide additional support when your roll-up door is in the open position. When roll-up doors are open, there can be a tendency to sag. This creates a risk, particularly with heavier door models, of the door beginning to unroll and striking staff and shipments. In addition, the compartment door will not be completely open, which can cause issues when loading and unloading large or bulky items that require additional space.
Adding double-end hinges will add additional support to the bottom panel, reducing door sag and relieving the strain on the rollers to prevent unwanted closure. Double-end hinges are used in conjunction with 5” stem rollers (available in either nylon or steel) to provide the optimum support for the door, thereby increasing staff and cargo safety and allowing the maximum clearance to be achieved within the opening for increased efficiency.
There is often a weld bead where the sidewall meets the floor of a compartment. In this case, the builder is faced with two choices: either grind down the weld bead or modify the door side frame to fit. Neither option is appealing. Grinding down this bead requires additional labor and may sacrifice the strength of the weld. As a result, AMDOR offers an option where our team will create a consistent mitered relief to accommodate the weld bead.
White Powder Coated Hardware is an optional upgrade that extends the life of your door hardware while enhancing your door’s aesthetics. Not only does the white finish match our factory standard white doors for a professional look, the powder coating process extends the lifespan of the hardware by providing additional corrosion protection and increased resistance to chipping due to the hard finish. Unlike painting, powder coating leaves no directional strokes, providing a flawless finished surface.
The back door of a transport is easily the most visible area of your truck, seen by thousands of drivers every day. Aesthetics are an important factor in a customer’s decision-making process, as well as influencing their attitude and perception of a company. Maintain your professional appearance with premium hardware that will stay reliable and rust-free for years. Comes as standard with WHITING® Canada's TempGUARD™, Premium Plate & Laminated Premium roll-up door models.
Adding a panel stiffener to your new WHITING® Canada roll-up door is a simple and cost-effective way to improve the door’s operation and improve staff safety and efficiency. Typically installed on the top panel of the door, the panel stiffener improves the rigidity of the roll-up door which allows the door to move more smoothly within its track. When roll-up doors are open, there can be a tendency to sag. This creates a risk for the operators and any cargo being unloaded—particularly with heavier door models—of the door beginning to unroll and striking staff and shipments.
In addition, the compartment door will not be completely open, which can cause issues when loading and unloading large or bulky items that require additional space. The panel stiffener helps reduce door sag, thereby increasing staff and cargo safety and allowing the maximum clearance to be achieved within the opening for increased efficiency.
Keep your roll-up door rust-free and reduce maintenance costs with this Stainless Steel Latch Plate. Stainless steel—as a corrosion-resistant material—will continue to provide increased resistance to corrosion and rust throughout its lifetime, unlike an externally coated part which can have its protection worn away while the part is in use. This provides increased durability of your hardware, and the attractive and rust-free finish can enhance the aesthetics of your door for a professional appearance. This Latch Plate is the perfect accompaniment to an exterior stainless steel hardware package for a unified look.
Reduce maintenance costs and keep your WHITING® door pristine and rust-free with this exterior stainless steel rivet package. Whereas a protective coating can be worn away during operation, stainless steel will continue to be resistant to corrosion throughout its lifespan, making it a more durable hardware option that will reduce downtime for repairs and replacements. These rivets are the perfect accompaniment to an exterior stainless steel hardware package for a unified look and are ideal for roll-up doors with custom paint or graphics where rust marks would mar the appearance.
An attractive and rust-free finish enhances your fleet’s aesthetics, which plays a part in consumer choice and their perception of a business. As truck and trailer doors are viewed by thousands of potential customers every day, maintaining a clean, unmarked exterior can be an easy way to keep your brand top of mind. Maintain your professional appearance with a rust-free back door, and reduce future maintenance costs with stainless steel rivets.
Upgrading your roll-up door’s rollers is a quick and easy way to reduce future maintenance and downtime for your vehicle while ensuring that your door is working at its optimum performance. The rollers within the door system are what keep the door panels moving smoothly within the door track, so are a critical piece of equipment despite their small size.
Our premium 2” diameter steel rollers offer increased material strength compared to standard nylon rollers, meaning they will last longer and are less likely to break with normal use. For heavy roll-up doors or doors that see frequent use, a steel roller is the better choice for all-around durability and longevity. Steel rollers are available in 3” and 5” stem lengths, with the 5” lengths used in conjunction with our double end hinges.
